At my age Im continuously looking for cheaper brands of makeup that my skin will love. I have been collecting makeup since my teenage years when I started becoming more girly than the tomboy I used to be. Actually, even as a tomboy I would buy white & black eyeliners from Jewel-Osco. Even had a time when I stole some makeup and got caught. Not a proud moment of mine from back then but hey, we all were young, broke, and stupid at one time.

I’ve noticed that I have a selected amount that I cannot just pass by when Im at the drugstore buying other important essentials. Recently my younger sister asked me for some recommendations on some products and since she is 10 years younger than I am, I have the perfect experience and product selection that will help her over the next 10 years to come, and I hope they will help you too.

Since, these days we are spending them indoors and away from public places as much as possible, I will link them to Amazon, where you can just place a quick order without leaving the comfort of your home.. even though its everyones dream to be able to.

Face Primer & Pore Filler

This Maybelline Master Primer is a non oily primer will help with any redness around the cheeks, nose and chin. Apply a thin layer with a flat brush all over your face before foundation. If you use your hands, make sure they are freshly washed.

After the primer, use a pore filler, to reduce the look of small wrinkles and larger pores for a smooth skin look. The NYX Pore Filler is amazing. It is up there with the Benefits Cosmetics Porefessional Pore Primer

Foundation & Concealer

After watching so many Youtube Makeup Gurus, I came accross a recommended foundation that is so breathable, and can even be layered to get full coverage. The L’Oreal Infallible Foundation is my absolute go to dupe. I know its tricky to buy the right color online, but heres the real trick. Get two tones. A light, close to your skin tone, and a darker one. One or two shades darker. I mix mine to perfectly match my skin tone year round.

The Maybelline Master Conceal is great, a thin layer will not crease, and just like the Mayballine Master Primer, it is not oily and covers the darkest circles.

These two go hand in hand. Add definition and a beautiful glow with the NYX Professional Bronzer, and set the foundation with the NYX Studio Powder.

Mascara & Eyeliner

Lip Balm & Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick

By far my favorite drugstore lip balm and stay all day liquid lipstick are the L’Oreal Balm Pop which has a tint that is translucent and very moisturizing. It beats all chapsticks to say the least. & the Revlon Matte Liquid Lipstick literally stays on all day without drying your lips. Apply once in the morning and a small touch up before going out. A girlfriend recommended this one to me and I have them in so many colors.

I did a post on brows and my technique on how to fill them and keep them in place all day long. Check that out here.

These sum up my most favorite drugstore products, and my little sister is set for a full face of beauty products that will keep her going back to them. In hopes that they will help you out too, come back and leave me a comment. Or, if you already have any of these let me know what your thoughts are.
